Venus in Gemini squares Chiron in Pisces on June 16, 2012 at 5:23 PM
We have all gone through experiences where we are wounded in relationships. Sometimes we fall in love and for whatever reasons the relationship does not work out. Other times we fall in love and the other individual does not have reciprocal feelings or want to be with us. It is part of the human dilemma because we have little control over who we are attracted to; just like we have little control of whether or not we like sprouts or navy beans. There are times when life (especially in love) is just simply unfair.
Since relationships are always an issue when Venus aspects Chiron, we may notice the energy over the next few days rather overwhelming as feelings surrounding our self-worth and past relationship wounds rise to the surface. This can bring up issues of insecurities and doubts in our current relationship and we will have to be conscious of where the root of our pain is.
In mythology, Chiron was wounded by a poisonous arrow, and despite all his medical expertise he could not heal himself. In many ways, some experiences that we have we can never get beyond the hurt and pain that occurred, yet we can make a choice not to poison our current relationships by reliving this experience once again.
It may be beneficial to sit down and meditate on whether or not you are holding onto past pain and hurt, and attempt to try to acknowledge these wounds. Often awareness and acceptance is the greatest cure in the world, and provides the proper toxin for our inner poisons.

Wounds from alcohol and lies as well, believe me!
Hi Tanya,
That is interesting. I suppose since both are kinds of “poisons” that are of our lower nature (the wound in Chiron’s leg) that would definitely fit. Thank you for your addition.
