Michael Phelps Loses His First Gold Medal Challenge

by admin on July 28, 2012 · 0 comments

In his first opportunity to score a medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, superstar Olympian Michael Phelps has experienced the bitter sting of defeat.  Phelps finished 4th in the 400 IM being defeated by teammate Ryan Lochte who not only won the gold medal but demolished Phelps Olympic Record that he established at the 2008 Games in Beijing.

Phelps performed poorly in the performance heats barely squeaking in a spot in the finals.  Many in the swimming community are starting to wonder whether or not Phelps will be able to make a comeback after his loss.

Free Online Psychic ReadingWe invited our chief astrologer Storm Cestavani to comment on Michael Phelps.  Storm is the co-host of the top rated show “Keep It Magic” which airs Tuesday’s at 4pm EST.

Psychic Advisor Network:   Storm it’s great to talk to you on such an exciting day.

Storm Cestavani:  Yes, I’m glad to be here.

PAN:  So, what is up with Michael Phelps?  Do you have any astrological insights?

Storm Cestavani:  The difficulty with Michael Phelps is that we do not know his time of birth.  This can be very tricky and requires a combination of using a solar chart (chart that places the Sun as the cusp of the first house) and a bit of intuition.  I have seen this technique be rather accurate in the past, so we will just have to see what happens.

Michael Phelps natal Sun is located at 9 Cancer and is conjoined to Mars.  This gives him his enormous power and drive.  The combination of the Sun with Mars is very competitive because it brings the energies of the spotlight (Sun being the natural ruler of Leo) together with his competitive spirit (Mars being natural ruler of Aries).  The Sun and Mars form an opposition to Neptune in his natal chart.  Despite the dubious nature of Neptune (which is prone to addictions and escapisms and Michael Phelps has had a few press stories about intoxication and marijuana usage), in a sports competitor’s chart this aspect can be greatly used because their sport becomes their devotion.

Here is the problem – currently transiting Uranus (surprises), transiting Pluto (complications), and transiting Mars (unbridled energy) are battering his natal Sun-Mars conjunction.  This is a powerful combination and can be very frustrating on the personality and since Michael has not yet hit his Saturn return, his life experience is too limited to be able to manage and contain (and many people after that even have problems) this type of energy.   Uranus tends to shake up our foundation and Pluto tends to tear down existing structures which in this case are his past Olympic achievements and the enormous expectations upon him at this time.

PAN:  Can he turn it around?

Storm Cestavani:  With Uranus, anything is possible and I would expect the unexpected.  Since these planets do stir up his Sun-Mars conjunction in Cancer, I do believe that this could give him the energy to try even harder.

I did take a look at a ‘guestimated’ lunar return chart and it places the Ascendant conjoined with the Sun and the Moon in the competitive 5th house.  The Moon will be in opposition to Venus which rules his solar 11th house of hopes and wishes and will sextile Saturn.  As long as he can recover (and Cancers are emotionally vulnerable to defeat), I believe he will be able to come back and score the medals he needs to become the most decorated Olympian of all time.

PAN:  Thanks Storm for commenting on a Saturday afternoon. We appreciate it.
